The brief was to provide a large family pool heated pool for summer use. April to Late Sept. Maintenance was to be straight forward, running costs minimised and to allow maximum enjoyment by the whole family. The pool chosen was Apollo 10 with a high heat gain summer cover. Additional heating is provided by an array of solar panels controlled by our integrated pool controller. Heat losses where minimised by using 100mm of insulation underneath and around the pool structure. Providing the same levels of insulation as required on an indoor pool. The clients have been extremely happy with the water temperature achieved by the combination of Solar cover, Solar Panels and excellent heat retention. Pool water sanitisation is by UV filtration and occasional chlorine shock dosing. This minimises the need of pool chemicals and greatly enhances the swimming experience for those who are sensitive to Chlorine products.
